9/9/2012: Day in Dimmitts Grove Information!
The Dimmitt’s Grove Neighborhood Association will host “A Day in Historic Dimmitt’s Grove” on Saturday June 29, 2013 from 9-3.
The event will be centered at the Vrooman Mansion (701 E. Taylor St.) and will include house and garden tours, historic walking tours, lunch at the mansion with “The Tea Ladies”, opera on the corner, art in the garden, and many other events to celebrate and share our pride of place and rich history. Our theme is “Pride and Preservation.”
Dimmitt’s Grove is a near-downtown neighborhood within the boundaries of Clinton, Oakland, Gridley and Washington Sts. The association was chartered in 1982 as a not-for-profit group. Proceeds from this event fund our neighborhood’s beautification, preservation and educational efforts.
There will be separate tickets for the house and garden tour and the Vrooman Mansion and Tea Ladies program. Food, children’s activities, and MANY other free events will be available throughout the neighborhood.
