Minutes for November 6, 2025

Dimmitt’s Grove Neighborhood Association Meeting

President Brad Williams called the meeting to order at 6:05pm at the home of Jerica Etheridge (407 South Evans Street). Thank you to her for hosting at her beautiful house for our meeting.

Attendance: 8 DGNA members were present for the meeting; Brad Williams, Jerica Etheridge, Hollis Black, Lexie Chavez, James Chavez, Karen Schmidt, Theresa Necessary, and Jim Ulavege. Introductions were made.

The meeting minutes from September were approved by those in attendance.

Hollis Black reported that our treasury balance is $4,405.34

Old Business/Updates:

A big thank you to Theresa Necessary and all of those who helped out with the DGNA Bake Sale in September. We raised $906.20!!!!

A big thank you to Sarah Hanzel for putting the DGNA newsletter together!

A big thank you to Gregg and Sarah Hanzel for hosting the Chili Cook-Off November 1st! There were several neighbors in attendance.

New Business:

There was some discussion about the changes to bulk waste pick-up and the Citizens Convenience Center. Neighbor Brandon Gray sent a letter to council members to reverse the decision made in 2018. The idea of sending another letter on behalf of the DGNA with some of the same points Brandon made was brought up. Brad brought up some concerns that would hopefully be on the agenda at the next City of Bloomington meeting.

Safety Concerns:
No major safety concerns to report.
Halloween night was successful with a large amount of traffic around Susan and CJ’s decorations. Our next DGNA meeting will be January 8, 2026 @6pm @TBD (possibly A B Hatchery)
