Minutes for March 5, 2026

Dimmitt’s Grove Neighborhood Association Meeting

President Brad Williams called the meeting to order at 6:00pm at CJ Ledinsky and Susan Rush’s house (516 South Clayton Street).  Thank you to CJ and Susan for hosting!

Attendance: 9 DGNA members were present at the meeting: Brad Williams, Neil Bailey, Nancy Dauer, CJ Ledinsky, Susan Rush, Herb Eaton, Pam Eaton, Joshua Crockett, and Theresa Necessary.  Introductions were made.

Theresa Necessary read the meeting minutes from January loud as the meeting minute section on the website is under construction.  They were approved by those in attendance.

Treasury balance is $4,046.00

Old Business/Updates:

Brad Williams shared some topics that were on the agenda for the Neighborhood Chats with the City of Bloomington.  He plans to ask if any of the houses listed for demolition are in Dimmitt’s Grove and what the money for work in the neighborhoods be used for.  The meeting is March 26th at the Bloomington Public Library.

THANK YOU to Josh and Adam for hosting our very well-attended Winter Social at their home.

The sign project plans for this year were discussed.  There are several new signs in the works and CJ Ledinsky showed us her mock-up of the larger “Welcome to Dimmitt’s Grove” for their lawn.  The plan is to make it out of the same material as our individual houses’ signs.  Hopefully the warmer months will allow us to get more (we are seven shy of having 50 signs!!!!) installed in time for the Route 66 100-year celebration in June.

New Business:

Our DGNA Flea Market will be June 6, 2026.  If anybody is interested in helping with organizing this year let Brad Williams know.

The application has been sent for our DGNA Bake Sale.  We should know the date when the Farmer’s Market begins outside.

REMINDER: the trash pick-up around the neighborhood with the help of Strong Towns Blono event is set for Saturday, April 25th at 1:00pm.

Safety Concerns:

There were a couple reports of motor vehicle theft and damage to property listed within our neighborhood boundaries.

Our next DGNA meeting will be May 7, 2026 @6pm @TBD (possibly Green Top Grocery)

Meeting was adjourned by Brad Williams at 7:20pm.
