July 2025 – Meeting Minutes

Minutes for July 10, 2025 Dimmitt’s Grove Neighborhood Association Meeting

President Brad Williams called the meeting to order at 6:05pm in the Green Top Grocery kitchen (921 East Washington Street). Thank you to Green Top Grocery for allowing us to meet in their community space.
Attendance: 10 DGNA members were present for the meeting; Brad Williams, Hollis Black, Theresa Necessary, CJ Ledinsky, Jim Ulavege, Karen Schmidt, Heather & Maurice Betts, Rachel Kapraun, and Lori Estrada. Introductions were made.
The meeting minutes from May were approved by those in attendance.
Treasurer Hollis Black reported that the treasurer balance = $3,504.15
Old Business/Updates:
No updates on the sign project.
No updates on the neighborhood newsletter.
No updates on the traveling social at this time. The idea of a meet-up at Pour Bros. Craft Taproom (236 East Front Street) on the last Sunday in August (8/31) was suggested. Neighbors can informally gather at 2:00pm, bring snacks to share, and visit.
New Business:
Thank you to Kelley Staub for organizing another successful neighborhood sales/flea market this year!
Theresa Necessary reported that the date has been set for Saturday, September 27th for the DGNA bake sale at the Downtown Farmer’s Market.
Safety Concerns:
No major safety concerns to report. There were several complaints from neighbors about fireworks lasting past 12:30am.
Our next DGNA meeting will be September 4, 2025 @6pm @TBD
