January 2025 – Meeting Minutes

Minutes for January 2, 2025 Dimmitt’s Grove Neighborhood Association Meeting

President Brad Williams called the meeting to order at 6:05pm in the Green Top Grocery community room (921 East Washington Street).
Attendance: 11 DGNA members were present for the meeting; Susan Rush, CJ Ledinsky, Pam Eaton, Mila Troytsky, Noah Tang, Jerica Etheridge, Jim Ulavege, Brad Williams, Karen Schmidt, Hollis Black, and Theresa Necessary. Introductions were made.
The meeting minutes from November were approved by those in attendance.
Treasurer Hollis Black reported that the treasurer balance = $3,504.15
Old Business/Updates:
The sign project committee reported that 16 signs have been printed this year. A total of 43 signs (of 50) have been completed at this time. A great idea of entryway signs at a few of the boundary corners to welcome people to Dimmitt’s Grove was proposed. A new group to mock-up signs was formed and plan to meet soon to discuss designs and locations.
Three welcome packets have been delivered to new neighbors on East Grove, East Olive, and South McLean streets.
New Business:
A traveling social idea and a block party this summer on the 500 block of East Olive Street were proposed.
A neighborhood clean-up will be organized again in April as the weather gets nicer.
Safety Concerns:
There have been multiple theft reports and police present on the 400 block of East Grove Street.
There were tires slashed on the 600 block of East Olive Street.
Our next DGNA meeting will be March 6, 2025 @6pm in the community room at the Bloomington Public Library.
