Brad Williams reported that we are working on getting a DGNA Venmo account for the bake sale and ticket sales to the Day in Dimmitt’s Grove.
Old Business/Updates:
The sign project has 13 or 14 people interested with 10 solid responses at this time. Susan Rush can help with the research for houses. We need around 12 to do another round so if there is interest among neighbors that want a sign in their yard, please contact Hollis Black.
Historic Day in Dimmitt’s Grove is planned for September 8th from 12-4pm. There are five houses participating at this time. If you are interested in helping contact Pam Eaton.
There was a great turnout (over 30 people) at the Garbage Clean-Up Day on April 20th with the Bloomington Revivalists. A big THANK YOU goes to Noah Tang for organizing. It was very successful in helping clean up the street and sidewalks and we are thinking about planning another one in August or September (as a neighborhood) before the Historic Day in Dimmitt’s Grove event.
New Business:
The DGNA Flea Market will be held on June 1st. A Facebook event will be created soon. Reach out to Kelley Staub to get your sale on the map.
The DGNA Bake Sale will be at the Downtown Bloomington Farmers Market on August 3rd. A Facebook event will be created soon. Reach out to Theresa Necessary if you are interested in helping.
No new reports from block captains.
No new concerns on the crime reports. A discussion about tent city concerns as warmer weather approaches and when the City plans to talk about these issues at meetings was had.
A woman named Monica in a black SUV has been approaching neighbors asking for money. We wish to remind neighbors to stay vigilant to panhandlers and to call the non-emergency police number (309) 820-8888.
Next meeting will be July 11, 2024 @6pm @Pour Brothers
Meeting was adjourned at 7:24pm by President Brad Williams
