March 7, 2024 Dimmitt’s Grove Minutes
President Brad Williams called the meeting to order at 6pm at Green Top Grocery.!
Attendance: (14) Guests: Kelly Pfeifer & Alissa Pemberton (Community Development) Eric
Hansen(County Board) DGN members: Brad Williams, Karen Schmidt, Pamala Eaton, Noah
Tang, Paul Engel, Sue Rush, CJ Ledinsky, Jim Ulavege, Pam Kowalewski, Racheal Angelo’s,
Diana Krieg.
Welcomed all and members introduced themselves to City Development Guests Kelly Pfeifer
and Alissa Pemberton who answered questions on our neighborhood zoning, tent city, and
vacant houses. They complemented our neighborhood on all that we have accomplished and
suggested they be contacted again if more questions or concerns needed to be addressed.!
January minutes approved.!
Treasures report same as last meeting. Treasure Hollis Black absent as she just welcomed a
new baby girl to their family.!
Old Business:
History Yard Signs: Asking to see how many people are requesting History signs for their yards
for 2024? Pam will reach out to printer to see what the price is and check with the committee
to see who is on the current list for wanting signs and to see who is on the committee to start
the process for the next batch of signs.
Historic Day in Dimmitt’s Grove: The committee met before the regular meeting an set the date
for Sunday, Sept 8 for the 2024 event. Tentative time: 1-4 but that may change to 12-4. Next
committee meeting to be held at the Vrooman Mansion on Thursday, March 21 at 6pm to
discuss the event, tickets, and locations.
New Business:
Clean up Day: Saturday, April 20, 1-3pm will be the neighborhood clean up day with the help
and organization of Bloomington’s Revivalist group led by neighbor Noah Tang. They will
provide bags, gloves and pick up poles. Neighbors are asked to help with treats. All are to
meet at Noah’s 504 E Olive.
Flea Market: Saturday, June 1, 9-3pm be the date and time of our annual Flea Market. Email

Safety:
Rocks thrown at property on W Grove and window broken. Police did find the young boy who
broke the window.
Drunk gentleman resting/fallen on the side of the sidewalk on E. Oakland. He was offered
assistance and water. Drunk gentleman was trespassing on E Jackson property and police
were contacted.
