The July meeting of the Dimmitts Grove Neighborhood Association was held at Marie Litta Park on July 10. Ten neighbors attended. Approval of the minutes were tabled, as they were just posted the night before. The treasury has not changed from last month.
The bake sale will be July 26 at the Farmer’s Market. Terri is coordinating workers and bakers. Jerica will put together a newsletter to be delivered by block captains and volunteers. The traveling social hour will be July 19, beginning at 6 at Brad and Terry’s house, then to Karen and John’s and ending at Carlo and Emily’s.
The chili cook-off will be Oct. 12 at Eatons’. There will be a meeting July 16 at City Hall in the council chambers to hear a variance for Wesley Methodist to tear down the chiropractic building on Front St. to make room for parking. It is not a historic building. The Bloomington Comprehensive Plan is collecting opinions about how to improve our city. Go to Bringitonbloomington.com to participate. There have been reports of unlocked cars being ransacked, so keep your car doors locked.
The September meeting will again be held at Marie Litta Park on Sept. 4 at 7 PM.
