4/28/2013: Day in Historic Dimmitts Grove
On Saturday, June 29, 2013, we will be holding our Day in Historic Dimmitt’s Grove. Come and enjoy the history and architecture of Dimmitt’s Grove and immerse yourself in the beauty of our neighborhood’s preserved and restored homes. Wander through this nostalgic section of Bloomington, Illinois and imagine the sights and sounds of the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Join us for a Day in Historic Dimmitt’s Grove and tour historic homes and beautiful gardens, take a guided walking tour and learn about some of the history of one of Bloomington’s oldest neighborhoods, listen to talented musicians and watch how craftsmen used to make their wares. Take your kids to some of our children’s activities or sit down to tea at the Vrooman Mansion. There is something for everyone to enjoy at Day in Historic Dimmitt’s Grove.
More details to follow as plans are finalized. This event happens only once every 3-5 years, so be sure to mark your calendars!
